West Coast Hydro - TCARI and RTX

Our West coast model is based off of the ship running an RTX SBET (or Smartbase, really just changes the one POS/SBET dropdown) and using TCARI. Here you can see the Launch and Ship modes for the same dataset. The project name (FA_LAUNCH_TCARI_VDATUM) was just a place holder for this test dataset. You’d use your OPR number here instead.

Notice the paths in the two screens on the far right and the ‘FILES TO TRANSFER’ in the center window. These are good things to check before starting. You can see that they are identical between ship and launch. This makes sense, as the data is the same and the method should match up between the two modes, the starting point is just a little different (launch transfer drive vs ship mode directories).

East Coast Hydro - VDatum and Marinestar

Much the same as the west coast example. Notice that we swapped over to the ‘Process MBES - RP at IMU (TJ/FH)’ mode. This is critical, don’t want to accidentally process with the wrong Process Type.

We’ve changed to using the Marinestar SBET and we have a zdf file for tides. It’s got some .tid files in the same directory as the zdf file, which is required by Caris. We load a VDatum csar and use the NIDIT 4 hours svc algorithm, all with delayed heave. Remember, delayed heave is loaded when you choose an SBET option.
